“Let me say that our mission here at this time is about to come to a close in the next few days […] and we’re about to return from whence we came.”

They say that all good things must come to an end, and my stay on Svalbard is no exception. Since november last year Brakke 9 in Nybyen has been my second home, but the completion of my master thesis calls - alas, I cannot stay, and the time for some long days of focused work back home in Tromsø has come.

I’d like to thank each and every one of you that has made my stay such a great experience - you know who you are. Such great people aren’t easy to come by, but there seems to be a great deal of them in Longyearbyen.

The Svalbard blog will still see some updates (I’ve still got some material to work on), but in time be laid to rest.
